Gap Adjust Control
The Gap Adjust LSI receives stroke
length information for all of the
printhead pins from the sensor
analog circuit. The Gap Adjust LSI
then sets the optimum printhead gap
for the printing medium.

decription of the mechanical
process.

The printhead compensates for the shape of the platen as shown below.
