7. Troubleshooting
This appliance contains no parts that can be repaired by the user. Maintenance should be
carried out by an authorized technician.
TROUBLE POSSIBLE CAUSES WHAT TO DO

Pilot flame won’t
light:
the ignition plug is not
securely fixed, or the
connection with the ca-
ble is wrong;
check the connection;
piezoelectric ignition
device faulty;
replace it;
ignition plug insulator
damaged;
replace it;
pressure drop in gas
supply pipe;
contact the gas utility company;
clogged nozzle; clean the pilot flame nozzle or re-
place it (see chapter "Replacing pi-
lot burner nozzle" in section
"Adjustment instructions");
gas valve faulty; replace the gas valve (see chapter
"Replacing the gas valve" in sec-
tion "Service").
After releasing the
knob, the pilot flame
goes out:
the thermocouple is not
sufficiently heated by
the pilot flame;
repeat the ignition procedure;
thermocouple faulty; replace it;
gas valve faulty; replace the gas valve (see chapter
"Replacing the gas valve" in sec-
tion "Service").
safety thermostat has
tripped;
reset the safety thermostat (see
chapter "Safety thermostat" in
section "Operating instruc-
tions").
