4.1 Insertion
Holding and Manipulating the Endoscope
The Control Section of the endoscope is designed to be held in the left hand.
The Suction Lever can be operated using the left index finger. The UP/DOWN
Angulation Control Lever can be operated using the left thumb. The right hand is
free to manipulate the Insertion Tube (see Figure 4.1).

1.
Make sure that the Bending Section is straight.
2. Lubricate the Insertion Tube with a medical-grade, water-soluble lubricant,
taking care not to lubricate the Distal End.
3. Pass the ETT over the Insertion Tube towards the Control Section (see
Figure 4.2).
4. Attach the ETT firmly to the Boot (tapered portion) of the Control Section.
