3.3 Preparation and Inspection of Accessories
Prepare the Suction and Biopsy Valves and the Miniature Light Source.
Inspection of the Suction Valve
1.
Inspect the Suction Valve (MD-493) for damage (see Figure 3.3).
2. Confirm that the Suction Lever operates smoothly.

Inspection of the Single-use Biopsy Valve (MAJ-210)
• Do not use an instrument after the expiration date displayed
on the sterile package. Doing so may pose an infection
control risk.
• Do not attempt to sterilize the Biopsy Valve. This could pose
an infection control risk or cause equipment damage.
