The PolyLoop delivers a nylon loop snare designed to prevent or control bleeding following
polypectomy of pedunculated polyps.
n Straighten the endoscope and
PolyLoop as much as possible.

n
Push the slider distally to extend
the hook from the coil sheath.
(See image C.)
n Cut the sheath, coil, and operating wire near
the yellow cylinder using pliers or a wire cutter.
(See image at right.)
n
Withdraw the endoscope.

Releasing a Trapped PolyLoop Ligating Device:

Look at the polyp for signs of ligation (blanching
at the stalk, engorging in the head).
Close the snare at least 2 mm above the PolyLoop
on the stalk of the polyp.

n Insert the scope next to the sheath. Use the
Loop Cutter to cut the PolyLoop between the
stopper and the coil sheath. (See image at right.)
