Basic shooting functions
1 Press the # button (flash pop-
up).
• The flash opens.
• The flash does not open automatically.
If the flash is not open, it will not fire.
2 Press the # button (flash mode)
repeatedly to set the flash mode.

• After 2 seconds of non-operation, the
selection is set and the mode selection
screen disappears.
• Each time you press # (flash mode),
the flash mode changes in the following
order.
•In S mode and M mode, the flash mode changes in the following order.

• Since a slow shutter speed is automatically selected in low light situations when
in the flash off mode, the use of a tripod is recommended to prevent your
pictures from being blurred by camera movement.
