Why is the image not sharp on my Olympus Microscope?
    • D
      danielkellyAug 17, 2025
If the visibility of the observed image is poor, the image is not sharp or the contrast is poor on your Olympus Microscope, the objective might be tilted. To resolve this, screw the objective in correctly until it stops. Also, the objective could be dirty, so ensure you clean it thoroughly.

What to do if zooming causes defocusing on Olympus Microscope?
    • C
      Cynthia BarrettAug 20, 2025
If zooming causes defocusing of the observed image on your Olympus Microscope, it could be that the eyepiece diopter is adjusted improperly. Adjust it correctly. Alternatively, the focus adjustment might be inaccurate, so adjust the focus accurately.

Why is the edge of the field of view obscured on Olympus SZX7 Microscope?
    • P
      Peter NicholsonAug 22, 2025
If the edge of the field of view is obscured or not evenly illuminated on your Olympus Microscope, it could be that the aperture iris diaphragm is stopped down (when the SZX-AS is used). Open the aperture iris diaphragm. It is also possible that the binocular tube and/or intermediate attachment are installed improperly; install them properly. If you are using the SZX-TR30 model, ensure the light path selector knob is set properly.

What to do if Olympus SZX7 body drops spontaneously?
    • S
      Shawn BradleyAug 25, 2025
If the microscope body drops spontaneously, causing the focusing to be deviated during observation with your Olympus Microscope, the rotation tension of the knob might be set too low. Increase the rotation tension to an optimum level.
  • K
    Katherine CrosbyAug 28, 2025
Why doesn't the focus adjustment knob rotate smoothly on my Olympus SZX7?
    • M
      Melissa WilliamsAug 28, 2025
If the focus adjustment knob does not rotate smoothly on your Olympus Microscope, the rotation tension of the knob may be set too high. Decrease the rotation tension to an optimum level.

Why are details of observed image solid on Olympus Microscope?
    • S
      Stanley SmithAug 30, 2025
If details of observed image are solid on your Olympus Microscope, the aperture iris diaphragm might be stopped down (when the SZX-AS is used). Open the aperture iris diaphragm.

How to align left and right fields of view in Olympus SZX7 Microscope?
    • J
      John DoughertySep 2, 2025
If the left and right fields of view do not coincide in your Olympus Microscope, it may be due to the following reasons: improper interpupillary distance adjustment (adjust it correctly), parallax not corrected (adjust it correctly), or different left and right eyepieces (use eyepieces with the same magnifications by replacing one of them).
  • C
    Colleen PriceSep 5, 2025
Why does zooming cause defocusing on my Olympus Microscope?
    • J
      Jessica HernandezSep 5, 2025
If zooming causes defocusing of the observed image on your Olympus Microscope, it could be due to an improperly adjusted eyepiece diopter (adjust it correctly) or inaccurate focus adjustment (adjust the focus accurately).

What to do if the edge of the field of view is obscured on Olympus SZX7?
    • D
Dr. Todd Hill DVMSep 7, 2025
If the edge of the field of view is obscured or not evenly illuminated on your Olympus Microscope, the cause may be: the aperture iris diaphragm is stopped down (open the aperture iris diaphragm), the binocular tube and/or intermediate attachment are installed improperly (install them properly), or the light path selector knob is in an intermediate position (set it properly).
  • A
    Anthony DavisSep 10, 2025
Why details of observed image are solid on Olympus Microscope?
    • C
      Craig BakerSep 12, 2025
If the details of the observed image appear solid on your Olympus Microscope, it is because the aperture iris diaphragm is stopped down. To fix this, open the aperture iris diaphragm.
