Table Of Contents System Overview
Congratulations on your purchase of a REC-12 Deluxe Keyless Entry
system by Omega Research & Development, Inc., a leader in vehicle security
and convenience systems since 1970. The REC-12 is a very exible system
that provides many programmable features, when customized, can enhance or
change the system’s operation. These programmable features, and the method
to customize them, are described in this booklet so the system can be cong-
ured to suit your individual needs. First, this booklet describes the basic opera-
tions of the system as congured with the factory default settings. Please read
this entire manual to familiarize yourself with the system’s capabilities.
The 3 system components used to control and monitor this system:
The Transmitter: Each system comes with 2 pre-learned controllers,
which are actually radio transmitters. This system can be operated by up to
4 different transmitters. Each transmitter is embedded with a unique security
code and can only operate one system at a time*. It has 4 buttons: a “LOCK”
button, an “UNLOCK” button, a “TRUNK” button, and a “
...
” button which
operates an additional output or can be congured to activate PANIC mode.
*NOTE: an optional transmitter that allows the operation of 2 separate
REC-12 systems is available by special order. Please contact your dealer
