Overview

The Omron ZX Series (ZX-L-N) comprises Smart Sensors (Laser Type) designed for precise measurement and detection in various industrial applications. This series includes sensor heads (both reflective and through-beam types), amplifier units, and a range of accessories for enhanced functionality and system integration.

Function Description

The ZX Series sensors utilize visible-light semiconductor lasers for non-contact measurement. Reflective sensor heads (ZX-LD series) operate by detecting the reflection of a laser beam off a target object, while through-beam sensor heads (ZX-LT series) work by detecting the interruption of a laser beam between an emitter and a receiver. The amplifier units (ZX-LDA series) process the signals from the sensor heads, providing linear output (current or voltage) and judgment outputs (HIGH/PASS/LOW) based on configurable settings. Calculating units (ZX-CAL2) and communication interface units (ZX-SF11) further extend the system's capabilities for complex calculations, data logging, and PC-based monitoring and setup.
