7 Maintenance
7.1 General safety instructions
Electric shock hazard
Power supply cables are laid in the appliance. Contact with energised
components presents a danger to life from electric shock. Disconnect the
pendant system from the mains before any maintenance work:
Disconnect all the poles of the pendant system from the mains and
prevent it from being switched back on again.
Check whether the end device (e.g. flat screen, OR lamp, etc.) is de-
energised.
Wait until the end device (e.g. flat screen, OR lamp, etc.) has cooled
down.
Necessary maintenance work must be carried out in accordance with the inspection plan
in
“Chapter 13, Inspection Plan, on page 108”
.
7.2 Built-in components from third-party manufacturers
Third-party manufacturers Built-in components from third-party manufacturers must be inspected and maintained as
prescribed in the applicable Operating Instructions.
7.3 Maintenance of the securing segment

Checking the securing segment on the spring arms
Check that the securing segment of the spring arms 4 - 6 is at least 1.5 mm thick and
9.5 mm wide, and grease it; it must be replaced if the minimum thickness or width are not
complied with.
Dismantle and check the securing segment 1 of the spring arm 4 as described in
“Chapter 8.3” on page 85
.
Dismantle and check the securing segment 1 of the LCH spring arm 6 as described
in
“Chapter 8.7” on page 91
.
7.4 Repeated inspection
Repeated inspections must be carried out in accordance with DIN EN 62353.
