4.7 FXS Analog Interface Specifications
There is an earth stud on the back panel of the ONE100. Always connect this to the main protective
earth.
• Connection to an analog telephone set.
• Connector: RJ45, 1 connector per FXS interface
• Line impedance: 600 Ohms or complex
• Frequency range of the ringing signal: 20Hz to 60 Hz
• Voltage of the ringing signal (in min level configuration): > 40VRMS for a load of 3 REN (3 x 4K + 1µF
@ 20Hz) in the frequency range
• Line current: 30 mA maximum for a line resistance <1000 Ohms
• Polarity inversion of the TIP and RING pins
• Line current <2mA in the power-down mode
• Q.23 dialing
• Ringer Equivalency Number (REN): 3
• Cable to be used: unshielded cable with one twisted pair
