deck
automatically
detects
the
type
of
cassette
in
the
cassette
holder
and
sets
the
bias
and
equalization
to
the
correct
settings.
Tape
selection
is
performed
by
detecting
the
presence
or
absence
of
identification
pits
on
the
back
of
the
cassette
shell.
Cas-
settes
manufactured
before
this
identifica-
tion
system
was
adopted
and
bargain
cassettes
that
do
not
incorporate
these
pits
cannot
be
used
with
this
deck.
