DURING MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS ENSURE THAT
THE WORK AREA IS WELL ILLUMINATED AND FREE
FROM OBJECTS THAT COULD CAUSE TRIPPING OR
OTHER HAZARDS. HYDRAULIC FLUID CAN BE A SERI-
OUS POLLUTANT IF IT 15 ALLOWED TO REACH THE SEA.
REGULARLY CHECK THAT THERE ARE NO LEAKS FROM
HYDRAULIC JOINTS. WHEN CARRYING OUT REPAIRS OR
FILLING THE FLUID TANK, ENSURE THAT HYDRAULIC
FLUID DOES NOT REACH THE BILGES, FROM WHERE IT
COULD BE PUIVIPED OUT TO SEA.

OLEODINAMICI. IN CASO DI INTERVENTI DI RABBOCCO,
EVITATE DI VERSARLO IN SENTINA, DA DOVE FINIRA’
POMPATO IN MARE.
ã Cleaning and maintenance of the gangway
The materials used in the construction of the gangway ensure that
only a minimum amount of cleaning and maintenance will be
required.
To keep your gangway in the best possible condition, it is advis-
able to hose it down with abundant freshwater every time you
return to harbor
and to dry it with a soft chamois cloth, having par-
ticular attention for parts in stainless steel.
n lf left drying without being wiped down, even the best grades
of stainless steel can be subject to surface corrosion.
n lf there are traces of corrosion or lack of shine on the metal
surface that cannot be removed by washing, use a polish
formulated specifically for metals, taking care not to stain the
wood.
n Never use wire wool pads or other cleaning materials that
could scratch the stainless steel surface. This would inevitably
make it more prone to corrosion.
n The stem is the part of the boat that is most exposed to engine
exhaust fumes, and acidic and greasy deposits will also be
formed on the gangway. You should periodically wash them off
with a neutral biodegradable detergent.
n The frequency with which this operation should be carried out
will depend on how dirty your exhaust fumes are, so it is not
possible to say how often this will be necessary. You must
therefore assess the situation for yourself.
n A couple of times every season and before putting your boat
into storage, it is advisable to treat the teak of the gangway
with a suitable product, such as 'Tea k Wonder'. The wooden
part of the gangway is particularly prone to damage caused by
engine exhaust fumes.
n
The extending section guides and the hinges must be cleaned
and lubricated with a suitable spray product at least once a
month.
n At least once per year the plank teaks have to be protected by
a suitable paint, in order to avoid water infiltrations and
swelling of the stratified wood which underlies. Eventual teak’s
swellings won’t generate warranty issues.
ã Pulizia e cura delle passerella
I materiali con cui è costruita la passerella consentono di ridurre al
minimo la necessità di piccoli interventi di pulizia e manutenzione.
Per la migliore conservazione della passerella, Vi raccomandiamo
di sciacquarla con abbondante acqua dolce al rientro da ogni na-
vigazione, ed asciugarla poi con la pelle di daino (soprattutto le
parti in acciaio inox).
n Se si lascia il metallo ad asciugare spontaneamente, anche il
migliore acciaio inox tenderà a macchiarsi.
n In caso di tracce di ossidazione o opacizzazione resistente al
lavaggio, potrete usare un polish specifico per metalli
(attenzione a non macchiare il legno).
n Non usate mai pagliette metalliche o altri sistemi di pulizia in
grado di intaccare la superficie dell'acciaio, poiché
inevitabilmente la superficie diventerà facile preda
dell'ossidazione.
n La parte poppiera della barca è più esposta ai fumi di scarico
di motori, e quindi anche la passerella deve sopportare i
depositi acidi ed untuosi dei fumi di scarico: é necessario pe
ciò provvedere periodicamente al lavaggio
con un detergente
neutro e biodegradabile.
n La periodicità di tale intervento dipende dai residui incombusti
emessi dai Vostri motori, e non è pertanto indicabile
univocamente: dovrete verificare la Vostra condizione
specifica.
n Un paio di volte a stagione, e prima dei rimessaggio invernale,
Vi suggeriamo di trattare il teak della passerella con un ciclo
protettivo completo (per es.: Teak Worider): la parte in legno
della passerella è infatti particolarmente esposta all'effetto dei
fumi di scarico dei motori.
n Le guide di scorrimento dei settore telescopico e le cerniere
devono essere pulite e lubrificare con apposito spray almeno
una volta al mese.

Almeno una volta all’anno proteggere con apposita vernice i
carabottini a doghe onde evitare infiltrazioni d’acqua e rigonfiamenti
del legno multistrato sottostante. L’eventuale rigonfiamento non
prevede la sostituzione in garanzia del carabottino.
