When the system is ready for the first item to be entered, the ELC software
interface will display the word “Ready” as shown in
Figure 4-16.

4. Place an item on the pacing conveyor belt. Avoid overloading the belt.
Items should be placed about 3” (76 mm) apart from each other.
Note: Items must comply with the specifications defined in “Material
Handling (inventory items)” on page 97.
Keep loose clothing, hair, and jewelry away from the conveyor when placing
items on the conveyor.
