11.3 Ambient Light Immunity
Scanning performance is optimal when the illumination on the surface of a barcode is between
zero and these values:
Incandescent Light: 10,000 lux
Fluorescent Light: 10,000 lux
Sunlight: 100,000 lux
Note: To achieve the best scanning performance, make sure that direct ambient light and
specular reflection do not enter the light receiving section of the imager scanner.

11.4 Environmental Durability (IP)

11.5 Scanner Key Durability
The imager scanner key is designed to withstand the conditions of the following key durability
test.
Key Durability Test: Position the imager scanner as shown in the next illustration. Use a push
rod with a 10 mm diameter to press and release the key with a force of 9.8 N (1 kgf). Press and
release the key 50,000 times.
