TO START PLAYBACK

Load a pre-recorded tape (When
loading a cassette tape without
the erase prevention tab, playback
will start automatically).

Press 1(PLAY).
Playback will start.
TO STOP PLAYBACK
Press 3 (STOP).
TO REWIND OR FORWARD THE TAPE
RAPIDLY
Press 8 (REW) when in the
STOP mode.
Press
9 (F.FWD) when in the
STOP mode.
FORWARD/REVERSE PICTURE SEARCH
If you want to see the tape program during REW (F.FWD)
mode, press and hold the
8 (REW) (9(F.FWD)) button.
The backward(forward) visual search picture will be seen
on the screen. Release the button to return to the
REW(FWD) mode.
DIGITAL AUTO TRACKING ADJUSTMENTS
When a tape is played, the Digital Auto Tracking system
automatically adjusts the tracking to obtain the best possi-
ble picture. If noise bars appear during playback, adjust the
tracking manually as follows:
• Press TRK (TRACKING) + or – to obtain the best
possible picture. "TRACK MANUAL" will appear for 4
seconds on the screen.
To resume automatic tracking, press ATR.
"TRACK AUTO" will appear for 4 seconds on the
screen.

COLOR SYSTEM
This unit can playback also tapes recorded on
SECAM or MESECAM .
In case you playback such a tape, set to SECAM or
MESECAM as follows.

Press MENU. Press ▲ or
▼ to select the
SINTONIZAR SISTEMA
mode. Then press ENTER.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select the
SIST. DE COLOR mode.

Press / or ENTER to
select [AUTO], [PAL],
[SECAM] or [MESECAM]
Color system usually used
in AUTO position. But
when you play back the
tape recorded in the
MESECAM color system,
select the MESECAM
position.

Press MENU repeatedly until the TV picture appears
on the screen.
