Installation
Wiring Work
■Electrical Wiring
1. When selecting capacity of the power cord, reference the following table for the maximum
operating current. For connection of the grounding cable, use the grounding screw provided on the
distribution panel. (RKS400F-S is equipped with the ground wire.)
Model RKS500F RKS750F
Power voltage (V・Hz) Three-phase 200・50/60
Maximum operating current (A)
4 5
Ground 2 or larger
2. Install an overload leakage breaker (provides both overload protection
and current-leakage protection). The breaker must be dedicated to the
cooler.
Model RKS400F-S RKS500F RKS750F
Bleaker capacity (A)
10 5 10
※Use high-speed type with 30mA current sensitivity
3. Connect the power cord to L1 , L2 and L3 on the terminal block of the
distribution panel. (RKS400F-S is equipped with the cord with caps.)
(Use cord inlets.)
4. Be sure to place the ground wire. Grounding must be connected to the dedicated ground terminal
by a qualified electrician.
Size of the grounding cable must be 2 mm
2
minimum.
(RKS400F-S is equipped with the ground wire.)
5. Note that the supplied power should remain within ±
10% of the rated value while the cooler is operating.
Power-phase imbalance should be within ±3%.
6. Three-phase power models must be checked for
improper connection of phase.(RKS500F, 750F) If
power phases are inverted, error code "
" will
appear on the display when you start up the power
supply. If this occurs, you should cut the power
immediately. You can then correct the problem by interchanging the terminal connections of any
two of the three power-cord wires, as shown in the illustration.
In addition, never push the electromagnetic switch in order to force start the product, and never
reverse the secondary circuit wiring.
Doing so will damage the compressor by causing it to run in reverse.
IMPORTANT
● When starting up the power supply, be sure to proceed in accordance with the instructions
given in the "Operating Procedures" section of this manual.
● Never operate the product without water in the system. Be sure that there is sufficient water in
the tank before starting up the cooler.
● Do not execute resistant voltage and insulation resistance tests. Otherwise, the unit cooler
controller may become damaged.
