9.9 Working description folding rail
The folding rail PCB (ssp 008v3) in the chair has a set/reset memory,
Current consumption (ca 60 mA) gives a reset.
A pulse from the folding rail PCB (ssp 007v3) sets the memory.
The red led on the PCB is on when the memory is set.(chair switched on)
The orange LED goes off when there is a current-consumption.
When the memory is inactive the display will show error 3. (only when armrest switch is on, and the
swivel-seat is in the correct and locked position.)
When the chair is operated, and display error 3 is visible, the main PCB powers the connection on
X1-4. (the green led on ssp 008v3 becomes active)
This voltage powers a relay. This relay switches the voltage off X3-3 (A3) and powers X3-1 (A1).
The folding rail will fold down as long as this relay is active.
(the orange LED on the rail PCB 007 goes off) (the red LED on the 007 stays/becomes active)
When the folding rail has folded out completely, the 2 endswitches down will be operated.
The 2 green LED’s on the PCB ssp 007v3 will go off. (ESdwn and ESdwn2 operated).
By operating both endswitches at the same time, the folding rail PCB will make a ½ sec. pulse(24V) to
the folding rail PCB in the chair (though X3-3 / A3), which will set the memory .
(display will show 1 => ready to move).
This pulse is made visible by the red LED on rail PCB 007 v3. (it will go off ½ a second).
When the chair is positioned on a charging point and the chair is not operated, the PCB ssp 008v3
checks if it is connected to the ssp 007v3 (rail).
When the connection is active for 4 seconds, it powers connection X3-3 (A3) and the hinge will fold
up (in). (orange LED on rail PCB 007v3 will be active).
The endswitch fold up is shown by the green LED in the middle. (ESup on PCB 007).

Points of attention.
1. When operating the chair is stopped during folding down the rail, the folding rail PCB will
fold up the rail immediately.
2. The time between set and reset the memory, must be ca 3 sec. When the folding rail has started
folding up (in) and the chair is operated, the rail will start to fold out immediately.
Then it is possible that the folding rail PCB 008 in the chair was not able to set the
memory.
Logic endswitches and connection of charging contacts
ES down 1 (ESdwn) NC = Endswitch down.(out)
NO = pulse to the chair (together with making contact of ESdwn2).
ES down 2 (ESdwn2) NC = Endswitch down. (out)
NO = pulse to the chair (together with making contact of ESdwn1).
ES up (ESup) NC = end switch up (in)
Chargepoint (1) (red) = power supply folding down / charging voltage switched through ssp 007v3
Chargepoint (2) (black) = mass (chassisground)
Chargepoint (3) (grey) = power supply folding up /and signal for set pulse.
