It is the installer’s responsibility to determine the proper application of the Conspicuity tape, and
to ensure that the vehicle or trailer meets DOT and federal lighting regulations. The following dia-
gram is a guideline for placement on trailers over 80” wide and GVWR of 10,000 Lbs. or more. This
document is not intended to replace published agency regulations, and it is strongly recommend-
ed that the installer refer to the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) which can be viewed at
http://ECFR.gpoaccess.gov.
