Troubleshooting (Advanced)
 PC Card / ExpressCard
A card does not work. z Insert the card correctly.
z The card does not conform to the card standard.
z Restart the computer after installing a driver (of card or other device).
z Set [PC Card Slot] and [ExpressCard Slot] to [Enable] in the [Advanced] menu
of the Setup Utility (Î page 65).
z The port settings are not correct.
z Read the instruction manual of the card or contact the manufacturer of the card.
z Remove the card and insert it again (Î page 24).
z The driver is not compatible with the operating system.
 SD Memory Card
Cannot use an SD Memory Card. z Set [SD Slot] to [Enable] in the [Advanced] menu of the Setup Utility (Î page
65).
Cannot use SD security function. z Setup the SD Memory Card (Î page 29).
Cannot log on using the SD Memory
Card.
z The user name and password set in the SD Memory Card are not correct.
Enter the correct user name and password, and log on to Windows without
using the SD Memory Card. Set the correct user name and password in [SD
Card Setup] (Î page 29).
 Smart Card
Cannot use a Smart card. z Insert the Smart card correctly.
z Set [Smart card] to [Auto] in the sub-menu of [Serial and Parallel Port Settings]
in the [Advanced] menu of the Setup Utility (Î page 63).
z To use a Smart card, you need a special software and driver.
