2. Place the unit on a flat surface such as a desk with the screen facing down, then attach the buckles to
the strap attachment holes at the lower part of the unit.
• Make sure there are no foreign objects under the unit.
3. [If the barcode reader (landscape type) is not attached]
Place the hand strap on the back side of the unit in the direction illustrated below, and attach the straps.
• Open the strap storage parts (C), take out the straps, pass them through the attachment holes
(D) at the upper part of the unit, hook them (E), and close the strap storage parts.
• If you want to attach the shoulder strap, do so now (page 56).

Insert the hand strap into the unit in the direction illustrated below (C), fold the belt and firmly fasten
it (D).
• Insert the hand strap up to the base as illustrated below.
