Connecting this unit to a PC
You can broadcast live motion picture on the Internet using a motion picture streaming service
(USTREAM, etc.).
Preparation:
≥ Set [Select USB mode] of the “Image App” to [Web camera]. (l 21)
≥ Register for a motion picture streaming site and make necessary settings.
1 Turn on this unit. (l 15)
2 Connect this unit to a PC connected to the Internet.
≥ For information on how to connect this unit to a PC, refer to “Charging the battery” (l 10)
≥ If you use the terminal cover (USB connection), this unit can be connected to the PC when
attached to the Multi Mount or Tripod Mount.
3 Start a live broadcast.
≥ Encoding software may be required.
≥ You can broadcast high quality images using software specially designed for live broadcasting
(Ustream Producer, etc.).
≥ For information on how to perform live broadcasts and obtain and use live broadcast software,
refer to the live broadcast site you use.
≥ When using a Wi-Fi connection, even if you connect this unit to a PC, the PC does not detect it as
a web camera.
≥ Depending on the connection speed and the PC’s processing speed, the image may appear as if
its frames were missed.
≥ Operation cannot be guaranteed on all devices having a USB terminal.
≥ Before disconnecting the USB cable from the PC, finish the live broadcast (or close the software
you are using).
