Cleaning

Disconnect the power cord and the
telephone line cord.

Press down the printer cover open button
then open the printer cover.

Remove the drum and toner unit by holding
the two tabs.

Clean the lower glass with a soft and dry
cloth.

Caution:

Be careful when handling the drum and toner unit. See the caution for the drum unit on
page 68 for details.

Do not use paper products, such as paper towels or tissues, to clean the inside of the
unit.
The area near the lower glass is hot. We recommend to clean the lower glass after
the unit cools.

Reinstall the drum and toner unit by
holding the tabs.

when cleaning the lower glass. It is
very hot.
