Busy
R The called unit is in use.
R Other units are in use and the system is busy. Try again later.
R Privacy mode is on for the call you tried to join (page 18).
R The handset you are using is too far from the base unit. Move
closer and try again.
Check tel line 1
Check tel line 2
R The supplied telephone line cord has not been connected yet or
not connected properly. Check the connections (page 9).
R If you use the unit as a single-line telephone only, erase the
message as follows:
To erase Check tel line 1”, press MMENUN. a #189
To erase Check tel line 2”, press MMENUN. a #190
When a power failure occurs, the message is displayed again.
Erase again as above.
Error!!
R Recording was too short. Try again.
Failed
R Phonebook copy failed (page 26). Confirm the other unit (the
receiver) is in standby mode and try again.
Incomplete
R Phonebook copy is incomplete. The receiver’s phonebook
memory is full. Erase the unwanted phonebook entries (page 25)
from the other unit (the receiver) and try again.
Memory full
R The phonebook memory is full. Erase unwanted entries (page 25).
R Message memory is full. Erase unwanted messages (page 37,
38).
Messages full
R Message memory is full. Erase unwanted messages (page 37,
38).
No link to base.
Reconnect AC adaptor.
R The handset has lost communication with the base unit. Move
closer to the base unit and try again.
R Unplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset the unit. Reconnect
the adaptor and try again.
R The handset’s registration may have been cancelled. Re-register
the handset (page 32).
Use rechargeable
battery.
R A wrong type of battery such as Alkaline or Manganese was
inserted. Use only the rechargeable Ni-MH batteries noted on
page 4,6.
You must first
subscribe to Caller ID.
R You must subscribe to a Call Display service. Once you receive
caller information after subscribing to a Call Display service, this
message will not be displayed.
