Rejecting an incoming call
You can reject an incoming call from your handset/desk phone.
1. While an incoming call is ringing, press
/ /REJECT.
2. The call will be rejected, and the handset/desk phone will return to standby mode.
Hands-free Mode
In hands-free mode, you can talk and hear the other party in a conversation without using the handset. This mode is useful for performing other
tasks during a conversation, such as writing.
Note:
[KX-TPA60]
• During a conversation using the headset, the
key is not available.
• While a handset in hands-free mode is on its charger, you cannot cancel the mode.
• When “Talk On Charger” is set to “On”, if you place the handset in hands-free mode on the charger, you can continue the conversation.
[KX-TPA65]
• During a conversation using the headset, pressing the /[SP-PHONE] key will disconnect the call.
• If you press
/[SP-PHONE] during hands-free mode, you will disconnect the call.
Enabling hands-free mode
[KX-TPA60]
If you press
during a conversation, you can enable hands-free mode. You can then return the handset to its charger.
[KX-TPA65]
If you press
/[SP-PHONE] in standby mode, you can enable hands-free mode. Once in hands-free mode, you can go on-hook without
disconnecting the call.
Canceling hands-free mode
[KX-TPA60]
You can cancel hands-free mode in one of the following ways:
• During a conversation in hands-free mode, press
.
• During a conversation in hands-free mode with the handset on the charger, lift the handset o its charger.
[KX-TPA65]
During a conversation in hands-free mode, go o-hook.
