The available flash range to take pictures
The available flash range is an approximation.
In [HIGH SENS.] (P78) in scene mode, the ISO sensitivity automatically switches to between
[ISO1600] and [ISO6400] and the available flash range also differs.
Wide: Approx. 1.15 m to approx. 15.4 m
Tele: Approx. 1.0 m to approx. 7.3 m
In [FLASH BURST] (P80) in scene mode, the ISO sensitivity automatically switches to between
[ISO100] and [ISO3200] and the available flash range also differs.
Wide: Approx. 60 cm to approx. 4.0 m
Tele: Approx. 1.0 m to approx. 1.9 m
Adjust the flash output when the subject is small, or the reflectivity is very high or low.
1 Press 3(È) several times to display [FLASH].
2 Touch the slide bar.
You can adjust from [j2 EV] to [i2 EV] in steps of [1/3 EV].
Select [0 EV] to return to the original flash output.
3 Touch
[EXIT].
You can also close the menu by pressing the shutter button
halfway.
Note
When the flash output is adjusted, the flash output value appears on the upper left of the
screen.
The flash output setting is memorised even if the camera is turned off.
The flash output adjustment cannot be used while in [SCENERY]/[PANORAMA ASSIST]/
[NIGHT SCENERY]/[SUNSET]/[HI-SPEED BURST]/[FLASH BURST]/[STARRY SKY]/
[FIREWORKS]/[AERIAL PHOTO] in scene mode.
