Types of zooms
When using the Zoom function, an estimate of the focus range will appear in
conjunction with the zoom display bar. [Example: 0.5 m (1.64 ft.) ]
¢ The magnification level differs depending on [PICTURE SIZE] and [ASPECT RATIO] setting.
Extended Optical Zoom mechanism
As an example, if you set to [ ] (3 million pixels worth), it will take pictures with the 3M
(3 million pixels worth) in the center of the 14M (14.1 million pixels worth) of the MOS
sensor allowing you to take more magnified pictures.
