One Time VCR Setup
*Important: If the remote control POWER, ACTION, PROG, CHAJV, INDEX or ADD/DLT button does
not work when pressed, press the VCR button on the remote and try the button again.
When the VCR is turned on for the first time,
it automatically enters the setup mode.
Setup includes the following:
• Choosethe languagefor on-screenmenus
and messages.
• Tell theVCR howyourequipmentishookedup
(pages6-9) sothe VCR cancorrectlyplace
channelsintomemory.

To Set the Language, Channels
and Auto Clock
I Turn the TV and VCR on.*

Tune your TV to the VCR output channel (thesame
one youset on the backof the VCR: CH3 orCH4).
• Ifyouusedaudio/videojackconnection,tunethe TV toitsvideoinput.
3 Press CH • for English
