Use Manual Focus when recording ...
a subjectthrough glass.
a scene where the subject isfar from the
Palmcorder and there are objects inthe
foreground.
a subjectwith distincthorizontal stripes.
a subject not centered inthe Viewfinder.
subjectswith shiny surfaces.
an obliquely angled subject.
a bright, flat subject such as a white wall.
in low lightsituations.
a scene with fast motions, like a golf swing.
Re-focusing may be required
when your Palmcorder is aimed at a new
scene.

The Palmcorder will automatically bring the
subject into focus even during zooming.
Press FOCUS NM if necessary, so that
the letters "MF" do not appear in the EVF.
POWER
OFF
VCR CAMERA
Set the POWER switch to CAMERA.
FOCUS I
Press FOCUS so that _
"MF' (Manual Focus)
appears in the EVF.
Press and hold the "T" side of the
POWER ZOOM switch untilthe subjectto
be recorded is at maximum zoom-in.
co NEAR
Turn the oo(FAR)/NEAR dial untilthe
)icture is in focus.
It may be necessary to back away from
the subject to focus the image properly.
Press the "W" side of the POWER
ZOOM switch to frame the picture as
desired.
Auto Focus will function down
to 1/2 inch (12.7mm) in front of
the lens.
Press the "W" side of the POWER
ZOOM switch to the wide angle position.
Then, bring the Palmcorder as close to
the subject as necessary.
