12) Remove thrust plate and examine for wear.
Wear on thrust plate will reveal exactly what
happened to the thrust plate (Fig. 12).

13) Examine top of Shaft End Cover as well as bushings
and lip seal for wear or damage. Ensure that they
are free of debris (Fig. 13).
