Operating the Test Kit
5.2 Generating a Vacuum
1 Press the button on the ServiceJunior.
Ä The ServiceJunior is switched on. To complete further settings, refer to the Ser-
viceJunior operating manual. & "ServiceJunior operating manual"
2 Switch the test object on, if necessary.
3 Turn the pressure release valve clockwise as far as possible to close it.
4 Turn the switchover valve counterclockwise as far as possible to set the switch-
over valve to "Vacuum".
5 Press the hand grips together once to produce the first vacuum.
Ä The inner spring produces the initial vacuum in the piston system but cannot
open the hand grips fully.
6 Pull the hand grips apart as far as possible.
7 Repeat Steps 5 and 6 as often as necessary until the require vacuum is almost
set.
8 Turn the fine adjustment valve until the required vacuum is set exactly.
Ä Turn clockwise: Reduce vacuum.
Ä Turn counterclockwise: Increase vacuum.
