Do not hold the cutting head at an angle.
Do not use the device to cut wild growth
or brushwood.
Regularly check the blades for damage
and replace as needed.
If the Equipment Vibrates
Clean the equipment, remove any grass
remnants present on the cutting head and
in the protective cover.
Checking the coupling
Place the device on a rm level sur-
face. Make sure that the cutting tool
does not touch either other objects or the
ground.
Before each use, check that the coupling is
working correctly when idle.
Start the device (see “Starting the engine”)
and carry out a visual inspection at a suf-
ciently safe distance to verify that the cut-
ting unit does not rotate during idle.
Starting the engine
Start the engine at least 3
meters from where you refu-
elled.
Place the device on a rm level sur-
face. Make sure that the cutting tool
does not touch either other objects or the
ground.
Before starting the engine:
When using the spool, Fig.
: Fit the
black protective cover (24) with protec-
tive cover extension (25). Remove the
protective cover on the line cutter (49).
When using the 3-tooth blade,

Starting with the starter rope:
1. Place the device on a rm level sur-
face. Make sure that the cutting tool
does not touch either other objects or
the ground.
2. Set the choke lever (7) to position
.
3. Press the fuel pump (primer) (6) 6
times.
4. Hold the device rmly with one hand
by the upper shaft tube (19). With the
other hand, pull the starter rope on
the starter handle (2) quickly several
times in succession until the engine
starts.
Attention! Do not pull the starter rope
out too far - Danger of breakage!
If the device does not start after
pulling the rope 3-4 times, set the
choke manually to position
.
5. Press the throttle lock (22) and then the
throttle lever (23) briey to enable the
choke lever to move to position
.
The device begins to idle.
Allow the tool to warm up at
idle for between 45 seconds
and 1:30 minutes.
6. To mow, keep the throttle lock (22)
pressed down and operate the throttle
lever (23).
7. To switch off the engine, briey press
the on/off switch (21) to
