Function Description:

This device is a low voltage LED garden light fixture intended for outdoor use as a component of a landscape lighting system. It provides illumination for garden areas, decks, and other outdoor spaces. The fixture operates with a low voltage power unit, ensuring safety and energy efficiency. The device is accepted as a component of a landscape lighting system where the suitability of the combination shall be determined by CSA or local inspection authorities having jurisdiction.

• Cable Type: Suitable cable should be sized in accordance with the provided cable gauge table and should be Type SPT-2W.
• Landscape Wire Burial Depth: Landscape wire and connectors can be hidden under stone or buried under grass at a maximum depth of 6 inches (15.24 cm).

Usage Features:

The fixture offers two primary installation methods:

1. Hidden Wire Installation:

   • Drill a 1-inch hole at the chosen location.
   • Screw two provided screws 3 inches apart into the deck, close enough to the hole to fully hide the light's body.
   • Pass the wire and connector through the hole.
   • Mount the light onto the screws.

2. Flushmount Installation:

   • Identify the desired mounting location on the deck.
   • Place the light over the deck and mark the screw positions with a sharp object or pen.
   • Install screws 3 inches apart into the deck.
   • Mount the light onto the screws using the brackets on the back of the light.

Connecting to Landscape Wire:

• Place the wire connector on opposite sides of the low voltage cable where the fixture will be located.
• Align and fit the main low voltage cable vertically into the slot of the wire connector.
• Press the wire connector together until it is fully seated and locked, ensuring the pre-set prongs pierce the cable insulation and establish contact.
• Turn on the power unit. If the light fixture does not turn on, repeat the connection steps.
• Once the clip-on connector is in place, wrap it with electrical tape for additional protection.

Troubleshooting:

• All lights fail to work:
  • Check if the power is on.
  • Verify there is no loose connection at the power pack screw terminal.
  • Ensure the power switch is not in the OFF setting.
• Only some lights work:
  • The problem is likely with the fixture's connector or LED.
  • Check the connector to ensure the wire stabs have pierced the landscape wire.

Maintenance Features:

• Cleaning: To clean the fixture, wash it with a damp soft cloth.
• Replacement Parts: Replacement parts can be ordered by using the fixture model number and the part's name.

• Any changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

Warranty:

The Patriot Lighting (Garden Light) fixture carries a five (5) year limited warranty to the original purchaser. This warranty covers defects in material and workmanship during normal use. The warranty excludes damage or failure caused by misuse, abuse, improper installation, accident, unauthorized repair, maintenance, or modifications. It also excludes expendable parts (like light bulbs and batteries), has a 2-year finish warranty, and is void if the fixture is not installed in the U.S.A. or within three miles of a saltwater coastline or areas prone to salt spray. The warranty does not cover losses, labor, injuries to persons/property, or costs. The sole exclusive remedy is replacement of the product or a refund of the purchase price.
