8. STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

8.1. BATTERY STORAGE CONDITIONS

• Store the “battery pack” and the charger away from heat, dust and humidity, after having switched off the battery

see 4.2. Switching the battery on and off, page 12.

• Never store the battery in an ambient temperature of more than +45 °C.

• To preserve the life of the battery and avoid deterioration, it is imperative that the battery be stored charged and

recharged every 24 months when not in use.

• Never operate the push-buttons during the storage period.

• To ensure long battery life, the battery should be stored in a dry and warm place between 0 °C and 25 °C.

• No combustible object must be placed within 1.5 metres of the battery.

• The charger is maintenance-free.

• If the battery is not used for 30 days, the battery is automatically discharged to a storage state to preserve its life,

and heating of the battery may occur during this phase.

8.2. CONDITIONS OF TRANSPORT OF THE BATTERY

• Never transport a battery with a capacity of more than 30% by means of a postal carrier.
