  If your Pentair Control Unit softener isn't regenerating, it could be due to several reasons: an interrupted power supply, a defective power head, an unplugged meter cable, a blocked meter, a defective motor, or incorrect programming. To address this, first, restore the electrical supply (check the mains and fuse). If that doesn't work, try changing the power head. Check the connections of the time rand on the meter cover. Clean or change the meter. Replace the motor, if necessary. Finally, check the programming and modify it if needed.

  If you find salted water in the service line of your Pentair Control Unit, it could be due to a blocked filter and injector, the power head not operating proper cycles, foreign elements in the brine valve, foreign elements in the brine line flow control (BLFC), low water pressure, or incorrect programming. To resolve this, clean the injector and filter. If needed, change the power head. Replace the brine valve seat and clean it. Clean the BLFC. Ensure the inlet pressure is at least 1,8 bar. Check the programming and modify if necessary.

  A drop in water pressure in your Pentair Control Unit could be caused by iron deposits in the softener inlet or within the softener itself, or the valve inlet being obstructed by foreign elements. Try cleaning the inlet, then clean the valve and resin. If the issue persists, remove the piston and clean the valve.

  Constant leakage to the drain in your Pentair Control Unit may be due to foreign elements in the valve, an internal valve leak, the valve being blocked in brine refill or backwash, a defective or blocked timer motor, or the powerhead not operating properly. Clean the valve and check it in the different regeneration positions. Change the seals & spacers and/or piston assembly if there's an internal valve leak or if the valve is blocked. Replace the motor and check the gear teeth if the timer motor is defective or blocked. Change the power head if it's not operating correctly.

  If the valve of your Pentair Control Unit is constantly regenerating, it could be due to a faulty power head, a faulty microswitch or wiring loom, or a defective or badly set cycle cam. To fix this, try changing the power head. If that doesn't work, change the microswitch or wiring loom. If the problem persists, reposition or change the cycle cam.

Clean the drain line flow control. Clean the filter and injector, change if necessary. Increase inlet pressure to 1,8 bar minimum. Change seal, spacers and/or piston assembly. Check programming and modify if necessary. Change power head.
