8. CALIBRATION
This chapter provides information on calibration for the ICM-2000. Check the manometer every
month. Compare the ICM-2000's manometer with a precision manometer with an accuracy of
+/- 0.03 bar.
Attention! The Haffmans Gauge Calibration Device (GCD) is recommended for
proper calibration.
Attention! Make sure the needle valve is closed.
Attention! The manometer has been assembled using LOCTITE 542.
Method:
1. Attach a hose (6 mm internal diameter) to the needle,
2. Attach the other end of the hose to the precision manometer and supply pressure,
3. Compare the manometer pressure (in terms of scale) to the precision manometer
pressure,
4. If the ICM-2000's manometer reading deviates by more than 1% from the reading on the
precision manometer, the ICM-2000 manometer should be adjusted.
Adjusting the manometer.
Method:
Attention! The pressure gauge has to be calibrated for the most common
pressures.
1. Unscrew the pressure gauge’s cover,
2. Remove the needle using the needle puller (included in the service set),
3. Set the pressure of the precision manometer to exactly 1 bar,
4. Position the pressure gauge’s needle to 1 bar and push it into place,
5. Check the linearity by setting the pressure of the precision manometer to half of the
calibration pressure (0.5 bar),
6. Refit all the components into their original positions.
