10. TROUBLE SHOOTING
10.1 Trouble shooting ICM-2000
Trouble Reason Solution
Pressure drop Upper needle leakage.
Replace O-ring (see paragraph
9.1).
Piercing leak. Check rubber cone.
PET Bottle is pressed together Use PET-bottle holder 005.218.
Values measured remain unstable Manometer leak (pos. 05).
Using a soap solution, check to
see if the screw thread
connection between manometer
and needle is leaking. If so,
clean the screw thread
connection and mount the
manometer on the needle with
LOCTITE 542.
Manometer (pos. 05) may be
defective.
Calibrate. If the manometer
shows too great a deviation or is
defective, it should be replaced.
10.2 Trouble shooting IAM
Trouble Reason Solution
IAM tap leaks Tap has insufficient sealing. Tighten the red nut on the tap.
Air volume measured is
improbably high
The lye is saturated (white)
and is no longer absorbing
CO
2.
Renew the lye.
