9. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Attention! For optimal maintenance of ICM-2000 the Inpack 2000 Service set
is recommended.
9.1 ICM-2000 maintenance (semi-annual)
Method of replacing the seals (needle valve and temperature sensor):
1. Unscrew the needle valve (pos. 8) from the instrument,
2. Remove the o-ring (pos. 9) and the nylon ring (pos. 10) from the needle valve,
3. Put a new nylon ring on the needle valve, then a new o-ring,
4. Screw the needle valve back into the instrument.
9.2 IAM maintenance (weekly)
Procedure:
1. Disassemble the Teflon sealing tap (pos. 112),
2. Rinse the sealing tap in clean water,
3. Lubricate the sealing tap with silicon grease,
4. Assemble the sealing tap in the IAM (fit the red disc first, followed by the O-ring and
then the nut).
9.3. ICM-2000 cleaning
It is recommended to clean the ICM-2000 daily if measurements have been carried out.
Method:
1. Connect a water hose to the pressure valve (pos. 40),
2. Place a cup under the ICM alternatively, connect a hose to the needle. If you connect a
hose here, remove the rubber seal (pos. 23) first,
3. Open the needle valve (pos. 8),
4. Slowly open the water tap and let the water run for a few minutes,
5. Open and close the needle valve (pos. 13) regularly (the instrument will now be
completely cleaned internally,
6. Shut the water tap and disconnect the hose (s).
9.4 IAM cleaning
It is recommended to clean the IAM-2000 daily with water if measurements have been carried
out.
Warning Used lye should be disposed of according to the national
legal environmental and health regulations.
