4. Method of measuring
4.1 Measuring high difference (h)
1）Set the level at a point approximately halfway between points A and B. It
will be more convenient to use stadia line to measure (page 27-28 for your
reference) ( Fig.4.1 ).
※In order to eliminate errors due to sighting axis misalignment and to make
sure the measurement could be more accurate, please set the level as close to
halfway point as possible.
2）Vertically position surveyor’s rod at point A and take the reading at point a
(backsight).
3）Vertically position surveyor’s rod at point B and take reading at point
b(frontsight).
