Taking Time-lapse Movie Pictures (Fast Fwd Movie)
This mode lets you take movie pictures at a delayed frame rate
so that when you play the movie back, the action appears
speeded up. This function is useful for recording a blooming
flowers, etc.
z
Press the MENU button in Movie Picture mode.
The [ Rec.Mode] menu will be displayed.
x
Press the four-way controller () to select [Fast Fwd
Movie].
c
Use the four-way controller () to
choose [Off (×1)], [×2], [×5], [×10],
[×20], [×50] or [×100].
v
Press the OK button.
b
Press the shutter release button.
Shooting in Fast Forward Movie mode starts.
Off (×1) is the normal setting for movie pictures (12 frames
per second). Each time ×2 or ×5 is selected, the number of
frames taken per second is reduced to 1/2 or 1/5.
As movie pictures are normally played back at the rate of 12
frames per second, movies taken at ×2 are played back twice
as fast and movies taken at ×5 are played back five times as
fast.
Sound cannot be recorded.
