DC-DC Installation
Mounting the DC-DC Power Supply
1. Determine a location for the DC-DC Power Supply that meets the following requirements:
• Safe from electrical contacts. Since the DC-DC Power Supply box is metal and connected
directly to ground, it MUST NOT come into contact with a positive power source. If the DC-DC
Power Supply box were to touch an unprotected source of power, it would short out the system
and could potentially cause a fire.
• Securely mounted. The DC-DC Power Supply must be held in place by four screws. If it cannot
be secured by four screws, zip ties can be used to secure it to a solid object, such as a support
brace behind the dash.
• Continuously cool and dry. The DC-DC Power Supply must be kept away from major heat
sources and protected from the elements, such as water.
2. Mount the DC-DC Power Supply in the determined location with four (4) screws and zip ties, as
necessary.
CAUTION: The case of the DC-DC Power Supply is connected directly to ground. Do NOT allow it to come
into contact with any power sources. The supplied 15 Amp fuse will not protect against this
condition.
