When the presser bar lifter is raised, both tension discs should be at least 0.5 mm
apart.

Raise the presser bar lifter, then screw on the presser foot.
Screw tension base plate 1.
Check to make sure both tension discsareat ieast0.5 mm apart.
ifthe tension discsare either toofarapartor tooclose together, remove tension base
piate1againandbend tension release lever 2 accordingly.
After the adjustment,replace tension base piate1.
