Switch on and Set Up the TV
Before you switch on theTX4, check that the AC power cord is properly
connected. Press @ POWER at the right side oftheTV, or press @ on
the remote control. TheTY normally takes 2S-30 seconds to start up
and the following screen appears the first time you turn on theiR/.
instructions to select your language and complete
yourTV setup. Installation takes approximately 10 minutes.
Press _1 or _ 5 times to select the side of the pictures that is the most
pleasing to you. then press OK.
Left side
Press OK to finish [Settings assistant].
Follow the on-screen
Press_1or _ to selectthe desired mode for energy saving,then press
OK.
Finish the Setup,
Home
• if you connect the cable system directl$ contact the CATV installet:
• if you press IODor MENU during autoprogram,this setting will be canceled,
• The initial autoprograrn function can be executed for either [Antenna] or [Cable]
only once,When you change the connection (Antenna/Cable), set autoprogram again,
(Refer to page 24,)
• if there is no signal input fi-om the antenna terminal and no operation for several
seconds after- you turn on theT_, [Helpful Hints] appears. Follow the instructions
listed on theTV screen.
Select [Retail] if you want bacldight to be brighter.
Select [Home] to reduce the power consumption.
• Select [Retail], the unit will be set up with predefined setting
for retail displays. In this setting, the power consumption may
possibly exceed the limited requirement of the ENERGY STAR ®
qualification.
• Select [Home], the unit is set to maximize the energy efficiency for
home setting and it can be adjusted through a choice of picture
and sound quality according to your preference.
Press OK to begin [Settings Assistant].
