You only have to install your system once.
Please make the following connections (whenever applicable)
Note: Switch off the DSC950 before making any connections.
ANALOG CONNECTIONS
A MIM/MC — Phono selector button for selecting Moving
Magnet or Moving coll.

VCR/DBS — input sockets for connecting the sound
channel of a video recorder or satellite tuner
VCR — output sockets for extra sound recording equipment
e.g. a cassette or tape deck or a HiFi stereo video recorder.

TUNER — input sockets for connecting a tuner.

OPTICAL CONNECTIONS

player using a optical cable.
J DCC — Inout and output sockets for connecting a Digital
Compact Cassette recorder or another digital recording
device using an optical cable.
Remark: when the optical inputs are not used, the caps
must be inserted to prevent disturbance from incident
light.

P SYSTEM CONTROL ESIBUS
(Enhanced System Intelligence)
Remote control sockets for connection to the corresponding
ES! sockets of other components in your HiFi system (e.g.
Philips 900 Series).
The ES| BUS is used for bidirectional communication be-
tween the sets of your HiFi system.
Connect the ESI socket to the ES! socket of the external
equipment that uses the ESI remote control system.
In this way you can operate external sets by remote control
through the sensor of the DSC950.
