When

Memory
Stop:
When
the
memory
position
on
tape
is
reached
during
fast
winding,
tape
winding
stops
there.
To
clear
the
memory
position:
Press
the
‘MEMO’
button
again.
The
‘MEMO’
indicator
@
goes
out
and
the
memory
position
is
cleared
from
memory.
To
change
the
memory
position:
First
clear
the
previous
memcry
position,
then
store
the
new
position
on
the
tape
in
memory
as
above.
The
‘MEMO’
buttons
are
also
used
in
memory
storage
of
Random
Memory
operation.
“"RESET’
buttons
When
a
‘RESET'
button
is
pressed,
the
corresponding
digital
counter
(@)
is
reset
to
“0000”.
‘QMS’
(Quick
Music
Search)
button
The
QMS
system
enables
you
to
search
for
the
beginning
of
a
specific
music
track
on
a
tape
containing
several
music
tracks.
First,
in
the
Stop,
Play
«4
or
Play-Pause
mode,
press
the
‘QMS'
button
the
same
number
of
times
as
the
number
of
music
tracks
to
be
skipped
from
the
current
tape
position
to
the
desired
music
track.
Every
time
the
‘OMS’
button
is
pressed,
the
current
QMS
count
(P-01,
P-02,
up
to
P-15)
is
displayed
on
the
digital
counter
to
indicate
that
the
count
is
registered.
Then,
assuming
that
the
current
playback
direction
is
forward,
press
the
"
<<‘
button
@)
to
search
for
a
music
track
located
before
the
current
position,
or
press
the
'
B®‘
button
(4)
to
search
for
a
music
track
located
after
the
current
position.
(Press
the
opposite
button
when
the
playback
direction
is
reverse.)
Any
music
tracks
located
within
15
tracks
before
or
after
the
music
track
being
played
can
be
searched
for,
provided
that
it
is
on
the
same
side.
When
a
music
track
located
before
the
current
position
is
searched
for
(when
the
«ta
button
@
is
pressed},
the
music
track
being
played
counts
as
number
one.
If
OMS
is
started
from
Stop
or
Play
mode,
the
deck
enters
the
Play
mode
after
the
desired
music
track
has
been
found.
If
the
a
(pause)
button
()
is
pressed
during
QMS
operation,
the
deck
enters
the
Play-Pause
mode
after
the
search.
‘AMS’
(Auto
Music
Scan)
button
When
this
button
is
pressed
in
Play
or
Stop
mode,
the
beginning
of
the
next
music
track
is
played
for
about
10
seconds,
the
tape
is
automatically
fast
wound
to
the
next
music
track,
and
its
beginning
is
played
for
about
10
seconds.
The
‘PLAY’
indicator
()
blinks
fast
during
AMS.
When
the
music
track
you
want
to
listen
to
is
played,
press
the
"PLAY
»
'
button
@.
Hereafter
the
music
tracks
will
be
played
normally.
‘B-SKIP*
(Blank
Skip)
button
The
Blank
Skip
function
allows
the
skip
play
of
blank
passages
encountered
during
playback
so
as
io
play
only
the
recorded
sections
on
a
tape.
When
the
‘B-SKIP’
button
is
pressed,
the
'BLANK
SKIP’
indicator
@)
lights
on
the
display
indicating
that
Blank
Skip
operation
is
activated.
When
the
button
is
pressed
again,
the
indicator
goes
out
and
Blank
Skip
operation
is
cancelled.
When
playback
is
started
with
the
‘BLANK
SKIP’
indicator
©
lit
and
a
blank
passage
of
more
than
10
seconds
is
encountered,
the
tape
is
fast
wound
until
the
next
recorded
section,
where
playback
resumes,
This
operation
is
repeated
with
every
blank
passage
of
more
than
10
seconds.
"REVERSE
MODE’
button
With
this
button
you
can
select
the
tape
travel
mode
for
tape
recording
or
playback.
