6. Adjust the recording level by turning the ‘REC LEVEL’
control @ so that the red segments of the level meter
light only at times.
The digital peak level display can also be used.
7. Press the 'm&' (pause) button @) to initiate the Record
mode. Continuous Recording will start.
e@ When the recording on Deck A is completed, the recording
on Deck B starts automatically.
(The reversion of head direction at the end of tape and
the switching from Deck A to Deck B occur when the
leader tape is detected, so that Continuous Recording is
achieved with almost no sound interruptions.)
To stop Continuous Recording:
e Press one of the following buttons to cancel Continuous
Recording. The Continuous Recording will be cancelled and
the operation required by the button pressed will be initiated.
While the Deck ‘A‘ or ‘B’ indicator ©) is lit:
Press the ‘m' (stop), ‘ <<‘ or‘ me button @.
While the Deck ‘A’ or ‘B’ indicator of the deck is lit in the
Stop mode:
Press the ‘PLAY’ button @.
@ To re-start Continuous Recording after having cancelled it,
repeat operations from step 5 if both Decks A and B are in
the Stop mode, or just press the ‘CONT REC’ button if
Deck A is in the Record mode and Deck B is in the Stop
mode. In the latter case, the ‘CONT REC’ indicator () will
light and Continuous Recording will start.
@ The ‘CONT REC’ button command is accepted when
both Decks A and B are in the Stop mode, or when Deck A
is in the Record mode and Deck B is in the Stop made.
PARALLEL RECORDING
(on Dock A and Deck B)
1, Insert one cassette to be recorded in the cassette holder
of Deck A with the side to be recorded in the forward
direction facing towards you. Then close the cassette
holder.
Prior to insertion, wind on the leader section of the cassette
tape so that the magnetic surface is exposed to the head
from the beginning of recording.
(Check the head direction indicated by the Direction indicator
@))
2. Inthe same way as with Deck A, insert the other cassette
to be recorded in the cassette holder of Deck B.
3. For recording with Dolby NR select the B or C type with
the ‘DOLBY NR‘ selector switch @.
4, Reset the tape counters of the decks to “0000” by pressing
the ‘RESET’ buttons G).
5. Press the ‘A+B REC' button @.
Both Deck ‘A’ and ‘B’ indicators © light, and both ‘REC’
indicators @) start flashing indicating that both decks are
in the Record-Pause mode.

Both ‘REC’ indicators () will light indicating Parallel
Recording.

‘ut ‘ (pause) @) or the reverse fast winding button ' <a '
@) is operated during Parallel Recording, both Decks are
controlled simultaneously.
@ For Quick Rewind operation during Parallel Recording,
press the reverse fast winding button ‘ <4’ button @)
in the case of forward direction, or ‘ »®’ button @) in
the case of reverse direction) if the head directions of
the two decks are the same, or press either the’ <a’
or’ me | button @ if the two head directions are different.
In either case, the tapes can be rewound directly to the
positions where recording was started.
To stop Parallel Rocerding:
Press the ‘m' (stop) button @. Both decks will stop
simultaneously.
DUBBING
(from Dock A to Deck B)
1. Insert the recorded cassette to be played in Deck A.
2. Insert the cassette to be recorded in Deck B.
Take care for the following when selecting the cassette to
be recorded.
e@ The recording protection tabs must not be broken.
e The length should be the same as the cassette to be
played as far as possible.
if the lengths of two cassettes are different, dubbing
may be interrupted in the middle of the music.
3. For Normal-Speed Dubbing, press the ‘NORM’ button 40.
Deck A enters the Play mode, Deck B enters the Record
mode, and normal-speed dubbing from Deck A to Deck B
starts.
4. For High-Speed Dubbing, press the 'HIGH’ button 49.
Synchronous dubbing at double speed from Deck A to
Deck B starts.
The ‘HI-SSPEED’ and ‘DUBBING’ indicators ©) light up
indicating the High-speed Dubbing mode.
Other operations are the same as with Normal-Speed
Dubbing.
Notes:
Dubbing starts immediately after the button is pressed. Ensure
that there is no problem in erasing the content of the tape in
Deck B before starting dubbing.
The 'm' (pause) @ and ‘REC MUTE’ G3 button commands
are not accepted during High-Speed Dubbing.
To stop dubbing:
Press the ‘m‘ (stop) button @.. Both Decks will enter the
Stop mode.
NORMAL-SPEED/HIGH-SPEED PROGRAMMED
DUBBING
This function enables you to program up to 16 music tracks
located between the beginning and the fifteenth positions on
a recorded cassette in any desired order, and dub them ona
blank cassette.
1. Insert the recorded cassette to be played in Deck A.
2. Insert the tape to be recorded in Deck B.
3. Press the 'QMS’ button @) the desired number of times,
until the QMS count display shows the number of musio
tracks to be skipped from the beginning of tape (max. 15).
