Why does my Pit Boss PB700SC display an unexpected temperature when it is OFF?
If your Pit Boss grill displays an unexpected temperature when OFF, it's likely due to high ambient temperature and direct sun exposure. This won't harm the grill; the internal temperature has simply reached or exceeded 54°C / 130°F. Move the grill to a shaded area and prop the lid open to reduce the internal temperature.
