Lay

victim
on
his
back
on
the
ground
or
on
some
other
firm
surface.

Place
the
heel
of
one
hand,
with
the
other
on
top
of
it,
on
the
lower
part
of
the
sternum
(breast
bone)
in
the
mid
line
of
the
chest:

Apply
firm
pressure
vertically
downwards,
aided
by
the
weight
of
the
body,
about
60
times
a
minute.

At
the
end
of
each
pressure
Stroke
lift
the
hands
slightly
to
allow
full
recoil

victim's
chest.

sufficient
pressure
to
depress

sternum

inch

vertebral
