6.4 Shunt Resistor
It is a way to measure current through a bath in the circuit using a small value
resistor, we cut the circuit and connect it again using the shunt resistor. In most cases, it
should be a high power resistor to handle the current passing through it.
So depending on ohm’s law “ ”, we have a shunt resistor, and we have a
𝑉 = 𝐼 · 𝑅
current passing through it, so the voltage will be generated around it. And then we will
measure this voltage using the multimeter, this way we have converted the current into
voltage.
