  If your Polaris Portable Generator's engine turns over but doesn't start, several factors could be at play. First, make sure the fuel valve is turned on and that you have sufficient fuel. If the fuel is old or non-recommended, or if water is present in the fuel, drain the fuel system and refuel. Also, inspect the spark plug for fouling or defects, replacing it if necessary. Verify the engine switch is ON and check for spark at the spark plug. If the battery voltage is low, recharge the battery to 12.8 Vdc. Ensure that the oil level is adequate by repeating the Pre-operation Inspection.
